Hoover Dam

I forgot to post these pictures earlier. We got a great pic of the bridge they are building. After this year you will no longer be able to drive over the dam but have to take this incredibly high bridge overlooking it all.

This was the last picture Mason allowed us to take. He'd had enough of standing in line to get autographs. He wanted to go back to Thunder Mountain rollercoaster!
Azlyn was exhausted but did great! She loved every minute of Disneyland!
We can't wait to go back!!!

So had I recorded when Mason was waiting to become a Jedi knight it may have broke your heart. He was so excited, waiving his hands around to be called up so he could officially be trained by a Jedi knight, only to be left in the crowd. He started to cry and burried himself in Daddy's chest. He said he was ready to go home! It was only our first day there! My heart broke, I wanted to yell out "Hey I thought this was where all your dreams come true!" but refrained. It all worked out, he enjoyed the show and wanted to go back to ride the rollercoasters.

March 9th we made our way to Disneyland! From Tuesday afternoon through late Thursday night we lived, ate, breathed Disneyland! Mason's first rollercoaster ride was Space Mountain. Halfway throught the ride he told Poppy Walter he thought he was going to be sick! When the ride stopped he said he was done! So we toned it down a few notches and took him on the more age appropriate rides! By the end of the trip his favorite ride was Thunder Mountain rollercoaster. We actually managed to ride every ride, eat every type of food, and meet almost every main character in the park! Not bad for two and a half days! The kids passed out well before we made it back to the motorhome each night.

While in Vegas, we took the kids to the volcano at the Mirage, lions at MGM, sharks at Mandalay Bay, Children's Museum, and even to Hoover Dam! It was like a Griswold's vacation!!!
Unfortunately, Gonazaga fell short in the tourney, coming in 2nd. Vegas ended on a low note:( Oh and minus $10 at the slot machines. Never been much of a gambler.

Back from vacation!

March 4th @ 6:30am we loaded the plane to Las Vegas to watch Gonzaga play in the WCC tournament. Mason was spoiled by the flight attendants on the plane ride down! He got to fly the plane;) It was a rough landing but we made it safely!
