'Tis the season..flu season that is!

So a few of you have been wondering what happened to the Fabulous Fouty of Four! The darn bug came a-knockin' on our door and set up camp right in our house! The flu bug that is. Mason's taken the worst of it and we're hoping he gets better very soon! We've made a few ventures out of the house so I'll be posting a few pictures. Hope everyone is doing well!

First time on skis

This video was taken back in July but thought I'd post for some of you who didn't get to see. I know it's not very encouraging...sounds worse than it really was...I promise! He will definately be ready for next summer!

Does money grow on trees?

Mason: "Is Daddy going to work today?"
Mommy: "Yes sweetie, just like everyday."
Mason: "But I don't want Daddy to go to work today! Is he going to get money? He doesn't have to if he doesn't want to!"
Mommy: "Well Mason if Daddy didn't go to work to 'earn' money then how would we get food and keep this roof over our heads?"
Mason: "We can go to the store and buy more money."
(in comes Daddy)
Daddy: "How will we buy money if we don't have money to begin with little man?"
Mason: "Give them a happy face, then they'll give you money!"
Daddy: "Oh Mason, if it were only that simple..."

Out for a Sunday drive

If you're wondering whether Azlyn is going to jump out or not I'll save you the suspense! She stayed put just like a backseat driver would! While she never cracked a smile I think she had fun (?). And this only confirms that our son was meant to be a tour guide and a great one at that!

Sneak peek of our family portraits done yesterday

I can't wait to see more but here is a glimpse of Captured By Ellie Photography. She did a great job! Thanks Ellie for being so patient with our little ones!!!

A boy and his stories...

So returning to the subject of Mason and his first day of school, Azlyn and I showed up early to spy on him and make sure he was following directions, playing well with others, you know, the usual we expect out of our 4 year olds...well anyhow, Mason was doing great!

When I walk into the class Miss Yolande tells me Mason had quite the story to share with the classroom...o.k. here we go! One of MANY stories that could expose our family secrets. Should I consider moving to another town now before it gets out of hand? Would it be easier to move him to a different school? So I inquire.

Miss Yolande: "Mason told us his Poppy Walter has a digger called an escavata (adult translation: excavator) and it's really cool!"

I pondered for a brief moment as to why he shared that. Then I saw the equiptment outside, next to the school. Not sure what they were working on in the lot next door but Mason wasn't very impressed with theirs, only Poppy Walter's!

Now for a first day impression, I think it went quite well that, thanks to Poppy Walter, my son knew the correct term for large equiptment! Hopefully Miss Yolande was just as impressed!

Mason's 1st bike race

Mason was in his very first bike race on Sunday. It was a non-competitive race and all the kids received a ribbon but Roth would like to mention that Mason took 3rd! Yes, we are very proud and not competitive at all;)

Mason was hesitant in the first few seconds, as you can see in the video. Once he realized what was happening I couldn't keep up with the camera...he was on his way to the finish line!

My kiddos

My first day as a blogger...

To help minimize the mass emails of pictures that tend to take up gobs of space on your computer I am using this site to post pictures of the kids, tell you about the hilariously crazy things my kiddos do, and the not so glamorous moments!

This will take me a while to figure out so please be very patient! I do hope this helps you all stay up to date with our oh-so-crazy life as well as a chance for me to use this as a way of releasing my thoughts!
